Yukon Summer Tours

Yukon Summer Tours and Canoe Trips

The Yukon is a vast and wild land, with a history as unique as the landscape. It is known as “The Land of the Midnight Sun” due to its long days during the summer, leaving more time to explore its natural beauty. As one of the most established tour operators in the area, we offer expert-led, small group Yukon summer tours and canoe trips. We cover well-known historical routes filled with culture and landmarks, and also offer opportunities to explore off the beaten path, giving you a chance to experience the sights and sounds of some of the most pristine wilderness in all of Canada. (Some would say in all of the world!)

Frequently Asked Questions about our Yukon Summer Tours

What kind of experience do I need to go on a tour?

We offer tours for all levels of experience and fitness level, from beginners, to intermediate, to advanced. This is marked on each of our tours. Elements that make a tour Intermediate or Advanced may be: more challenging elevations (for Yukon hiking tours), or white water and fast-moving rapids (for our canoe tours.) It’s a good idea to fully read the description and itinerary of each tour to get an idea of what you can expect, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions about any of the tours.

What are meals like on guided tours?

Meals during our Yukon summer tours consist of many whole food ingredients. Aside from fresh fruit and vegetables, we complement our meals with rice, potatoes, and noodles. You will be impressed with how your tour guide can create delicious meals with simple ingredients. A juicy steak or a fresh caught fish prepared on our daily campfire with home-baked bread is part of our menu. While we don’t provide alcohol, we do offer drinks such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and other beverages.

Are your tours safe?

Safety is a top priority on trips! Our experienced and certified guides are knowledgeable in wilderness behaviour, wildlife safety, safe food storage and preparation, and fire safety. They are also equipped with emergency satellite devices in case of emergency. You can read about safe wilderness behaviour and camping etiquette on our Wilderness Behavior page.
