Expedition Overview

The Nisutlin River Expedition — Rose River Bridge Option is our longest and most adventurous journey on the Nisutlin watershed, beginning deep in the remote backcountry of south-central Yukon.

Launching from the Rose River Bridge along the South Canol Road, this route adds several days of wilderness paddling before joining the main Nisutlin River. The upper Rose River is narrower and more technical, offering a true expedition feel with tighter bends, sweepers, and a stronger sense of remoteness.

Once the Rose meets the Nisutlin, the river opens into wide scenic valleys with steady current, abundant wildlife, and peaceful wilderness campsites.

🎣 For anglers, this is the best way to experience the Nisutlin. With more days on the river and access to quieter, less-traveled stretches, the Rose River Option offers outstanding fishing opportunities throughout the journey. Whether casting from camp or drifting through productive runs, this trip is a true Yukon fishing adventure.

As always, expect Yukon Wide’s signature riverside hospitality. Our guides are known for turning camp meals into one of the highlights of the trip — with hearty breakfasts, riverside lunches, and fresh, creative dinners that prove wilderness travel doesn’t mean instant noodles.
