Looking for a half-day paddle that actually feels like an adventure?
The Takhini River Express is a fun, current-assisted 4-hour journey through the stunning Takhini Valley — blending effortless flow with just the right touch of excitement. This isn’t a slow drift; the moving water keeps things lively while doing most of the work for you.
We’ll launch from Takhini River Road and follow the current downstream toward the legendary Yukon River, winding through quiet wilderness and big, open views. It’s easygoing enough for beginners, but dynamic enough to keep experienced paddlers smiling.
If you’ve only got half a day, this is the paddle that makes it count.
Make a full Yukon day of it by pairing your trip with the Yukon Wildlife Preserve or a soak at Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs.

Itinerary
The Takhini River Express departs daily at 10:00 AM and finishes around 2:00 PM at the pull-out point.
Guests have two convenient options:
Meet at Yukon Wide Basecamp Arrive by 9:45 AM for check-in and gear orientation.
Shuttle from Whitehorse Downtown pickup at 9:00 AM with round-trip transport. (+$60 flat rate)
From Basecamp, we’ll head to the put-in together and get you fully set up for a smooth, fun ride downstream.

Adults: $250 CAD per person | $175 self-guided
Youth (12 & under): $180 CAD per person | $95 self-guided
Whitehorse Shuttle: $60 CAD per person (round-trip)
