Our Private Aurora Cabin Adventure combines three nights in a brand-new 750 sq. ft. cabin with some of the Yukon's signature winter experiences—all while giving guests the freedom and independence of having their own winter-ready vehicle.

Located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Whitehorse, the cabin sits on the same beautiful wilderness property as the Aurora Outpost and Elevation Sled Dogs. Rather than returning to a downtown hotel each evening, guests are already staying beneath the Yukon night sky, with the Northern Lights potentially right outside their door.

Designed especially for couples, the cabin features a private master bedroom, full kitchen, private bathroom, comfortable living area and double hide-a-bed. It can accommodate up to four guests, making it equally suitable for a couple, a family of four, or a small group of friends.

Your adventure begins at the Whitehorse airport, where you'll pick up your pre-arranged winter-ready AWD or 4WD rental vehicle.

From there, the Yukon is yours to explore. Stop in Whitehorse for groceries and supplies before making your way to your private cabin.

Upon arrival, you'll find a personalized itinerary waiting for you, complete with your activity schedule, directions and the information you'll need for your stay.

We've taken care of the important details while leaving you the freedom to experience the Yukon at your own pace.

Itinerary
4 Days / 3 Nights – Whitehorse, Yukon
Enjoy the freedom of your own private Yukon cabin, your own winter-ready vehicle, unforgettable northern adventures, and the opportunity to watch the Aurora right outside your door.

Day 1 – Arrival in Whitehorse & Your Private Cabin
Arrive at Whitehorse International Airport and pick up your pre-arranged winter-ready AWD or 4WD rental vehicle.

Before leaving Whitehorse, stop for groceries, beverages and anything you'd like for your three-night stay. Then make the scenic drive to the Aurora Outpost Private Cabin Retreat, approximately 30 minutes from downtown Whitehorse.

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Settle into your private 750 sq. ft. cabin and review the personalized itinerary and local information waiting for you.

The evening is yours to relax, prepare dinner and enjoy your first night beneath the Yukon sky. There's no Aurora shuttle and no scheduled return to town—you're already at your viewing location. Step outside whenever conditions look promising and enjoy the night at your own pace. When the Aurora Outpost is operating, you're also welcome to walk over and enjoy the lodge before returning to your cabin.

Day 2 – Elevation Sled Dogs & Aurora
Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast in your cabin before making the short trip to Elevation Sled Dogs, located right on the property.

Today you'll experience our Signature Half-Day Dog Sledding Adventure. Meet the incredible canine athletes, learn about the sport and lifestyle of dog mushing, and head onto the trails for approximately 90 minutes of dogsledding with your professional guide.

After your adventure, the remainder of the afternoon is yours. Relax at the cabin, explore Whitehorse, enjoy a meal in town or simply settle into your wilderness surroundings.

As darkness arrives, your second night of independent Aurora viewing begins. Watch from around the cabin or visit the nearby Aurora Outpost when operating.

Optional Upgrade: Add our exclusive Private Midnight Dogsled Adventure at approximately 11:00 PM. Return to the runners for a private 45-minute nighttime journey beneath the Yukon sky—with the possibility, if nature cooperates, of travelling by dog team beneath the Northern Lights.

Day 3 – Choose Your Yukon Winter Adventure
Today, choose the experience that best suits your style.

Spend the day visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs, combining an opportunity to see northern wildlife with time relaxing in the warm waters of the hot springs.

OR

Choose a Snowmobile Adventure and head into the Yukon winter landscape for another exciting northern experience.

Either option is included in your package at no additional charge.

Return to your private cabin afterward for your final evening. Prepare dinner, relax and keep an eye on the northern sky. With no scheduled Aurora tour ending at a particular hour, you have the freedom to watch for the lights whenever conditions are best.

Day 4 – Relaxed Morning & Departure
Enjoy one final peaceful morning at your cabin. Prepare breakfast, pack your belongings and take in the surrounding Yukon landscape before checking out.

Check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Depending on your flight time, spend some additional time exploring Whitehorse before returning your rental vehicle at the airport and beginning your journey home.

Meals are not included. Your cabin includes a kitchen with basic cookware, dishes, cutlery and kitchen essentials, allowing you to prepare your own meals throughout your stay.
